Chapel for 30 seconds

On November 12th, 2015, the bridge installation by Rose Epple and Alex Valder has opened in picturesque Feldkirch. The event kicked-off the Montforter Zwischentöne, an innovative music festival, which focus this time round is on the topic of “Faith”. For two weeks, citizens of Feldkirch and visitors attending the festival, will have 30 seconds to meditate on existential questions while crossing the light tunnel over river Ill.

Highlight of the festival will be the first advent with a rich program, featuring a day long performance of the Mystery Sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, experts talking about famous mystics from diverse religious backgrounds and a light pendulum by artist Erwin Redl in the Montforthaus. The entrance situation to his “Silent Swing” installation has also been designed by Alex Valder and Rose Epple.
