What would the world look like if young people and children were designing it? That is what we are trying to find out in this new project. Every week I am working with students of the Berlin Bilingual Secondary School in our Design-Thinking-Kids-Club on making their school an even better place. The Club aims to raise their creative confidence and teach them tools to enable them to shape their surroundings. Not only because this is useful for their future, but also because we like to hear their ideas.
Based loosely on Design Thinking methods, the open process follows the directions decided on by the students. To find out what they deem important and what they and us learn in the process, visit our website www.design-thinking-kids.de (in German). The project was jointly developed by the school and myself, and is funded by the Berliner Projektfonds Kulturelle Bildung.
